Position Overview

The Legal Administrator supports the legal department by reviewing and drafting simple contracts, managing administrative duties, and ensuring efficient legal operations. The Legal Administrator assists in maintaining accurate legal documentation and providing administrative support to the legal team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Contract Review and Drafting

  • Review and draft simple contracts, agreements, and other legal documents under the supervision of senior legal staff.
  • Ensure that contracts comply with organizational policies and legal standards.
  • Assist in the negotiation of contract terms as required.

2. Legal Documentation

  • Maintain and organize legal files and records.
  • Ensure that all legal documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and properly archived.
  • Prepare and format legal documents, including contracts, letters, and reports.

3. Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative support to the legal team, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and handling inquiries.
  • Assist in the preparation of legal reports and presentations.
  • Manage legal department calendars and deadlines.

4. Compliance and Risk Management

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the legal team in identifying and mitigating legal risks.
  • Conduct preliminary legal research and gather relevant information as needed.

5. Communication and Coordination

  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to facilitate legal processes.
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel and service providers as required.
  • Maintain effective communication within the legal team and with other departments.

6. Training and Development

  • Stay updated on legal and regulatory changes relevant to the organization.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance legal knowledge and skills.
  • Support the legal team in conducting training sessions for other departments on legal processes and compliance.

7. Other Duties

  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field preferred.
  • Paralegal certification or relevant legal administrative experience.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a legal administrative role.
