Position Overview

The Client Relations Advisor is responsible for client acquisition and relationship management of Direct to Consumers (D2C) and Brand Barbados market segments. The Advisor is responsible for providing advice to help businesses grow and achieve their objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Acquisition

  • Identify and target potential clients who could benefit from Business Barbados' services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract new clients and expand the client base.
  • Conduct outreach activities in collaboration with Marketing and Brand Barbados, including networking events, meetings, and presentations, to engage with potential clients.

2. Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and objectives.
  • Act as a focal point for clients, providing ongoing support and advisory services.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships.

3. Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
  • Provide reports and insights to inform policy and strategy development.
  • Track and report on client engagement metrics and outcomes.

4. Business Development Strategy

  • Collaborate with the Head of Business Facilitation and Advisory Services to develop and implement business development strategies.
  • Identify and prioritize business development initiatives that align with the organization's strategy.
  • Track and report on the effectiveness of business development activities and adjust strategies as needed.

5. Partner Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Brand Barbados, and other strategic partners to promote investment opportunities.
  • Participate in business and entrepreneurial forums and promotional events to attract and engage potential clients.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of services to clients.
  • Participate in key cross functional activities that drive business growth and development.

6. Project Coordination

  • Monitor project progress and address any issues or challenges that arise.
  • Ensure that client expectations are met and projects are completed on time and within budget.

7. Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and best practices in business development.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation in business development activities.
  • Share knowledge and insights with team members to enhance the overall effectiveness of the business development function.

8. Other Duties

  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, client services or a related field.
  • Proven track record of identifying and securing new business opportunities and relationship management.
  • Strong understanding of market research, and business strategy.
